FR Ce duo se nourrit du phénomène naturel des transformations et des mouvements des icebergs dans les zones polaires. Il s’inspire du basculement de la vision des explorateurs face à ces masses d’eau douce, jadis perçues comme immuables, et vues aujourd’hui comme matière dynamique. Les corps des deux danseurs évoquent ce parcours d’une métamorphose d’un état solide à un état liquide.
NL Zones is geïnspireerd op de organische veranderingen en bewegingen van de ijsbergen. Deze enorme massa’s van bevroren water die ooit bewegingsloos werden geacht, blijken nu dynamische materie. De dansers Igor Shyshko en Lise Vachon belichamen deze transformatie van vaste substantie naar een meer vloeibare staat. In dit duet gaan zij een dialoog aan, met elkaar en met de ruimte rondom.
EN Zones finds its inspiration in the natural changes and movements of icebergs in the polar regions. These enormous masses of frozen fresh water, once perceived as motionless, are today closely observed as dynamic and melting matter. Dancers Igor Shyshko and Lise Vachon embody this transformation from a solid to an active and liquid state. In this duet they enter into dialogue with each other and with the space that surrounds them.
