Le bassiste attitré de Philippe Catherine reçoit une carte blanche et invite le génial tromboniste américain.
Federico Pecoraro est né en 1994, il grandit en Italie, bercé par la musique. Son père, musicien aussi, est sa première influence. Il commence par jouer de la batterie mais se tourne vers la guitare basse à 10 ans. Federico commence à jouer avec beaucoup de musiciens de sa région. Il est principalement autodidacte, fréquentant peu les écoles de musique ou les conservatoires.
En septembre 2015 il est admis au Koninklijk Conservatorium à Bruxelles, dans le département de jazz. Son projet principal est le trio ‘Mynah’ avec Gabriele Di Franco (guitare) et Antonio De Donno (batterie). Ce trio tourne dans toute l’Europe au printemps 2016 pour promouvoir la sortie de leur premier album "l’Intro".
Il s’est entre autre produit avec le groupe Echt !, Oyster Node, Clevja Collective, le Tribute to Chick Corea’s Elektric Band du claviériste Jérémy Dumont, Eleven for Ten (Festival de Dinant) et avec le guitariste Philip Catherine.

Après des études brillantes à Philadelphie, Robin s’est imposé sur la scène de New York, collaborant avec des géants du jazz comme Art Blakey, Elvin Jones et Sun Ra. Mais son talent ne connaît pas de frontières : il a également partagé la scène avec des icônes de la pop et du rock mondial, telles que Barbra Streisand, les Rolling Stones et les Talking Heads.
Son excellence a été couronnée par plusieurs Grammy Awards pour ses travaux avec Dave Holland et Michael Brecker. Il a été sacré à de nombreuses reprises « Tromboniste de l’année » par les prestigieux magazines Jazz Times et Downbeat.
Un magicien des rythmes
Au-delà de sa virtuosité, Robin est un compositeur visionnaire. Sa force réside dans sa capacité à naviguer avec une fluidité déconcertante entre le swing, le funk et les musiques latines, en y intégrant des structures rythmiques complexes et organiques. Également pédagogue émérite, il a enseigné pendant 20 ans au prestigieux Conservatoire d’Oberlin ainsi qu’au Berklee College of Music.

Federico Pecoraro werd geboren in 1994 en groeide op in Italië, omringd door muziek. Zijn vader, zelf ook muzikant, was zijn eerste inspiratiebron. Hij begon met drummen, maar stapte op 10-jarige leeftijd over op de basgitaar. Federico begon samen te spelen met veel muzikanten uit zijn regio. Hij is grotendeels autodidact en heeft weinig tijd doorgebracht op muziekscholen of conservatoria.
In september 2015 wordt hij toegelaten tot het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussel, op de afdeling jazz. Zijn belangrijkste project is het trio ‘Mynah’ met Gabriele Di Franco (gitaar) en Antonio De Donno (drums).
