Napsis est un projet né en 2016 autour de Maxime Van Eerdewegh (composition, claviers) et de la voix singulière de Lou Wéry. À la croisée de la chanson, du jazz et des musiques alternatives, le groupe tisse un univers poétique et immersif, naviguant entre français et anglais.
Influencé par des artistes comme Björk, Radiohead ou Hiatus Kaiyote, Napsis aime brouiller les pistes : une mélodie douce peut soudain basculer dans une exploration sonore plus sombre et psychédélique.
Avec le projet « Is There More », le groupe élargit son horizon en intégrant une dimension orchestrale, collaborant avec l’arrangeur Pierre-Antoine Savoyat pour un ensemble de 13 musiciens. Cette évolution aboutit à l’enregistrement d’un EP en 2023, affirmant une identité riche, audacieuse et sans frontières.
Napsis propose une pop alternative singulière, entre orchestration acoustique et textures électroniques. Un live immersif, puissant et imprévisible.

Napsis is een project dat in 2016 is ontstaan rond Maxime Van Eerdewegh (compositie, toetsen) en de unieke stem van Lou Wéry. Op het snijvlak van chanson, jazz en alternatieve muziek weeft de groep een poëtisch en meeslepend universum, laveerend tussen Frans en Engels.
Beïnvloed door artiesten als Björk, Radiohead of Hiatus Kaiyote, houdt Napsis ervan om de grenzen te vervagen : een zachte melodie kan plotseling omslaan in een donkerdere en psychedelische klankverkenning.
Met het project “Is There More” verbreedt de groep haar horizon door een orkestrale dimensie toe te voegen, in samenwerking met arrangeur Pierre-Antoine Savoyat voor een ensemble van 13 muzikanten. Deze evolutie mondt uit in de opname van een EP in 2023, waarmee een rijke, gedurfde en grenzeloze identiteit wordt bevestigd.
